Dinner With Friends - JCT Kitchen, Atlanta, GA

Who craves grilled cheese and tomato soup when it’s 98 degrees outside? Me, that’s who.

I was invited to lunch and tasked with picking the place and chose JCT Kitchen. (So yes, this is really Lunch with Friends and not Dinner with Friends..but meh).

JCT is one of my favorite lunch places in Atlanta for a couple of reasons: 1) They’re open (this is a rarity in this city) 2) The food is solid 3) It’s always consistent.

It turns out that I needed the lunch (the grilled cheese tomato soup combo was amazing, yes I decided to go with this despite the weather limitation I mentioned earlier) and more than that, I needed the convo.

It’s been a few weeks since I’ve had to do any work. It’s hard for me because I usually have about 3 or 4 projects going at one time. I’ve reluctantly realized that this is a good thing and have been using the time to get into alignment by focusing on my morning routine. As we chatted over lunch for hours, it was a welcome wink from the universe that I’m on the right track. Sometimes you just need to sit still enough to hear which direction to move in.
