When Not To Quit

I got thrown a monkey wrench on Saturday that made me wonder if I was moving on the right path. While I love what I’ve been building with Holy Sip, I had to stop and wonder if 1) It was working and 2) If it was worth it. To be honest, I was ready to toss in the towel on having a space. Not because I wanted to, but I also wanted to make sure I wasn’t keeping a space just to replace Studio No. 7.

So what did I do? I sat with it for a couple of hours then I phoned a friend. After I explained the situation, their advice was to keep going.

Still, I sat with it a little bit longer and then prayed about…hoping to get some indication of which direction to move in.

Then a few hours later I got a call to confirm doing a shoot for Jameson Irish Whiskey. Then someone sent me a text about doing a private tasting. Then, I had a great conversation with Karim from Martell about what we were building. Then someone bought a ticket to dinner in Jamaica.

And then I said thanks to the universe for reminding me that I’m on the right track.

Trust the signs.
